I grew up in a military family and am the daughter of a Navy Veteran. I loved living the lifestyle that comes with having a father who was and is very dedicated to this country. Being a “navy brat” afforded me many experiences and opportunities that I am so grateful for and love to share about.

I moved to Skagit Valley as a teenager 15 years ago when Oak Harbor was my dad’s last duty station. I met and married a local guy from Sedro Woolley and am proud to call Skagit Valley home.  Jacob grew up with something that I never had; roots. We have been married 12 years and have planted our own roots in this little town that I love. Jacob and I have two daughters; Megan 8 and Lauryn 2. They are both such an incredible blessing and we feel so fortunate that God has entrusted us to raise these two beautiful girls to know and love Him.

In 2009, I obtained my degree in Early Childhood Education.  Since then I worked for Head Start as an Infant Toddler Specialist. My passion has always been children, families, and community.  Building families through community partnerships feels like a vital part of my being.  I am involved with my oldest daughters elementary school where I am the co-president of the parent booster club. I also have a huge place in my heart for Girl Scouts and have helped with a local troop for a few years and have recently started a troop with two other wonderful ladies.

I became to know about NCCDC when Jacob and I wanted a biblical and academic preschool experience for our daughter.  I always thought how wonderful it must be to work with children and get to share Jesus with them.  A few short years later and God has given me that very opportunity. I am incredibly blessed for this opportunity to serve in this way and to be even more apart of my hometown, Sedro Woolley.
